I enjoyed reading the draft of this book, and I'm happy to announce that it will be available on Amazon's Kindle soon.

"Marching To My Own Drumbeat" was written by 75-year-old Alzheimer's patient, Sydney Marcia Rice.

The book is a collection of heartwarming and incredibly witty short stories from the very colorful life of Sydney. Despite the physical challenges she had to face, Sydney managed to weave a series of magical tales of her own experiences from childhood through adulthood, being in the Peace Corps, teaching in foreign lands, acquiring new friends and seeing a variety of cultures and traditions.

I'm a huge fan of short stories and anthologies, and this one is the best read I've had this year. The author is a gifted writer and storyteller. Each story has a unique charm of its own, and most importantly, it's downright humorous which makes it even more entertaining. It's also filled with wonderfully-crafted illustrations to match each story.

I highly recommend this book to readers of any age. It's a lighthearted and unforgettable read and uncannily filled with essential life lessons on every page.

"About the book: The short stories that are presented in the book are based upon the author's real-life experiences. The writing style is plain and simple because, despite the editors' attempts to make it more polished, Sydney strongly insisted on keeping her stories exactly as she wrote them. She wanted her stories to 'sound' just as they did whenever she would tell them to her friends. Therefore, these stories are simple, the style is plain, but this is just on the surface, so don't be misled. On a deeper level there is the hidden wealth of emotions, waiting to spin your head and your heart - in the speed of Warp Drive. " - from the desk of Publishing Manager
